Calling Motivated Community Members!

Do you want to make a difference in your community? Do you want to learn more about the process of mediation and restorative practices? Do you hope to enhance your leadership skills and create new connections in your community? Join our Board of Directors!

The board supports MARS as it creates peaceful solutions for the communities that we serve. Board members are expected to regularly attend meetings and events, and must commit to making decisions in the best interest for MARS. Duties include assisting in fund development, board maintenance, program expansion, and providing proper financial oversight. Board of Directors have the authority to initiate and approve policies and procedures in collaboration with the Executive Director. Board Member terms are three years long. Board members are unpaid volunteers and must be at least 18 years of age.

The MARS board is currently comprised of community members who come from different professional and personal backgrounds, who meet every month on Wednesdays, in the late afternoon. We are looking to add more community members to our board.

MARS desires to create a Board of Directors with different life experiences and perspectives. This way, we can have a deeper understanding of the communities we serve.
