RentHelpMN Program is Ending This Week

RentHelpMN is ending: MARS can help navigate the abrupt change.

Minnesota’s RentHelpMN assistance program is ending this week because of a lack of federal funds.

The deadline to apply for assistance from the statewide RentHelpMN program is Friday, January 28 at 9:00 p.m. If you are behind on rent, you may still apply for past-due rent, utilities and up to one month of forward rent. Visit www.renthelpmn.org or call 2-1-1 if you need assistance with your application.

Applications will not be accepted after Friday, January 28 at 9:00 p.m. If you have started an application but have not hit “Complete” and then “OK” on the last page, it will not be processed and cannot be changed after the deadline. If you have already submitted a RentHelpMN application, it will continue to be processed and you do not need to call 2-1-1 unless you have an immediate question.

MARS is committed to helping Anoka County residents navigate this abrupt change. Mediators can help both renters and landlords by facilitating conversations about past-due rent, payment plans, and more. Call us at 763-443-1856 or email us at dana@mediationservice.org to start the mediation process.
